My name is Barb Tyers and I am a Thai massage practitioner.

Thai massage is a physical therapy that blends elements of yoga and massage. It is performed on a mat with the client wearing comfortable clothes to allow for easy movement. There are no oils or aromas used as the practitioner stretches and massages the client in a smooth flowing manner.

Thai massage is very effective at decreasing stress by working through the full body pressure points and alleviating muscular tension. As a result you will gain increased flexibility, however I do all of the yoga workout for you!

There are two distinct styles of Thai massage, the type I perform is the northern style which is not as vigorous or invasive as the southern style. I started my practice in 2002 and have trained in both Chang Mai Thailand and in Vancouver. My background includes personal training and physiology which allows me to understand the body at an in depth physical level, while also recognizing the amazing mental and spiritual benefits of receiving a Thai massage.

Thai massage is an ideal therapy for everyone, and those with any injuries or health issues can gain extra benefits as this will help you release stress and speed up healing.
